This green chocolate strawberry smoothie gets its color from a large serving of spinach. It’s got plenty of cocoa powder and vanilla to provide a hint of chocolately taste, and strawberries and dates to make it just sweet enough. Frozen cauliflower makes it extra creamy, and a mixture of chia and hemp seeds thicken it and provide plenty of fats, protein and fiber to fill you up. - 1 c. unsweetened almond milk
- 1 c. frozen strawberries
- 1 c. frozen cauliflower florets
- 1 c. packed spinach
- 2-3 dates, pitted
- 2 T. cocoa or cacao powder
- 2 T. hemp hearts
- 2 T. chia seeds (optional: soak in 2 T. water for 10 minutes)
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract.
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
